My Story
Hello!
I'm currently an M.A. Geography student at Arizona State University. I invite you to read more about me below and explore my site for work and project experience!
My educational background has laid a strong foundation in my pursuit of understanding and alleviating the devastations of global environmental change. I found this subject of interest during my time at Santa Monica College, where I earned an A.A. in Geography. The classes opened my eyes to the deep-rooted history of inequality. The effects that climate systems have on human behaviors which in turn, influence the surrounding environments. To have a comprehensive grasp on various geographic process was to learn a story.
After attaining a junior degree, I moved on to finished with a B.A. in Environmental Studies; focus in sustainable communities with a minor in Environmental Health Policy. It was in these advanced classes that I honed in on my analytical skills and used critical thinking; daydreaming of tackling complex environmental challenges with my new set of tools. One of my most dear projects that spanned throughout my educational years has been studying waste streams. By keeping a consistent concentration through the years, I was able to apply newfound knowledge. Not only on how to effectively dispose of waste (if it can’t be eliminated altogether) but how human behavior plays a role. How to properly communicate with signage and the effects of trash receptacle placement. It’s remarkable how much one can think of trash.
The future holds infinite career possibilities and I hope during my current tenure at Arizona State University, that I’m able to find an exceptional step into the right direction.
All photos on my website are photos that I've taken while enjoying the outdoors.
